Dharma ceremony to celebrate the restoration of
Anguksunwon(Abbot: Ven. Deokwoo)
To mark the restoration of the building that houses
Anguksunwon, Anguksunwon in Los Angeles (Abbot: Ven.
Deokwoo) invited Ven. Subul, and held a Dharma ceremony
on October 1,2022. The property was designated as one of
LA’s Historic-Cultural Monuments, which requires permits
issued by the Cultural Heritage Commission to alter the
designated properties in any way. It took a long time to obtain
these permits, but they were finally granted in December
2021, and consequently, the restoration project was
completed this year.
