2022 Meditation Camp for Kids

Koreasah in California, US (Abbot: Ven. Myogyeong) organized 

the 2022 Meditation Camp for Kids on July 30,2022, at its Main 

Dharma hall. After two years of hiatus forced by the COVID-19 

pandemic, the 3rd Meditation Camp for Kids was attended by 

thirty children between the ages of 8 and 12 and their parents.

All were welcome whether they were living in the LA area or 

just visiting their relatives. Children learned how to steep tea 

and pour it properly and tried their hand at making dalgona 

candy. Parents liked making dalgona as much as their children, 

as this candy made with melted sugar and baking soda was 

a popular street snack back in the old days. Both children 

and adults enjoyed the meditation class, but learning how to 

play various traditional Korean percussion instruments was 

particularly popular to the children. Our thanks go to Yeongmi
