Ullambana ritual

On August 14,2022, Bulkwang Zen Center in NY, US (Senior 

Spiritual Teacher: Ven. Hwigwang) dedicated ullambana rites 

and prayed for the souls of the deceased, with a 150-strong 

crowd attending the ceremony.The congregation had prayed 

to the Buddha for 21 days prior to the dedication ceremony 

for the souls of deceased family members as well as those of 

aH the people who are still wandering the heavens so that 

they would all be reborn in the Western Paradise
