Donation toWangjing Small Library in Beijing
In August 2022, the Manwol-sa Temple in Beijing (Abbot:
Ven. Wongeol) became the first Special Overseas District
temple whose legal title reverts to the Jogye Order of
Korean Buddhism. On July 8, 2022, Ven. Wongeol and his
congregation visited Wangjing Small Library in Beijing
and delivered a donation raised by the temple goers who
participated in a 100-day prayer ceremony. Manwol-sa
donated to Wangjing Small Library ¥ 10,000 earlier this year
as well to help the struggling library amid the restrictions
imposed by the pandemic and thanked the volunteers
working hard to maintain the library for overseas Koreans. Ven.
Wongeol promised that Manwol-sa will continue to go where
help is needed in the Korean-Chinese community in Beijing.
