Dharma  ceremony  to  enshrine  the  Buddha  statue  in  the 

Main Dharma hall(Abbot: Ven. Jikwang)

Wonkaksa Temple in NY (Abbot: Ven. Jikwang) held a ceremony 

to enshrine the Buddha statue on October 2,2022, marking the 

completion of its main Dharma hall. Attended by a 400-strong 

crowd, the ritual of consecrating the Buddha statue by painting 

his eyes was solemnly officiated by Ven. Jeongo and Ven. 

Bocheon."下xlay, we invite the Buddha to this temple through 

this auspicious ceremony.The statue we enshrine today is not 

just an object in the Buddha's image/said Ven. Dojinz a guest 

of honor from Jikji-sa Temple. "It is the Buddha who has been 

with us since beginningless of time, the Buddha who will be 

with us for an immeasurable time in the future. I am deeply 

honored to bear witness to this auspicious occasion with the 

Wonkaksa communit/z After the dedication of the Buddha statue, 

traditional Korean flutes and drums were played to celebrate the 

completion of the Main Dharma hall.
